چکیده
The asparagus season has recently ended for northern hemisphere crops. Tradition has it that, at the summer solstice, growers stop cutting spears to allow the plant to grow and produce enough resources to generate spears for the next spring’s crop. The plant is becoming increasingly fashionable and production is increasing to meet demand. But the cultivated asparagus has a wild relative that is of increasing conservation concern, not least because it may harbour valuable genetic insights into the farmed plant, but also because of its increasing rarity. Indeed, there has been some debate whether the commercial variety is actually derived from the wild asparagus. Although differences between wild asparagus (Asparagus prostrates) and the cultivated form (Asparagus officinalis) have been known for many years, wild asparagus has been often treated through time and across its range as either a variety or subspecies of Feature

Judging the soaps.
Background Go on, admit it. However much you may dismiss soap operas, at some point in your life you’ve been fascinated by them. Maybe as a teenager coming home early from school, as a medical student taking a break from exams, or as a young parent at home with the children, you too have been drawn into the world of ‘The Street’ or ‘The Square’ – or even ‘The Police Station’. You too have been ...
متن کاملEffect of Waist-type Hanger Reflex on Walking. 今 悠気(電通大) 中村 拓人(電通大)佐藤 未知(電通大) 梶本 裕之(電通大)
When a wire hanger is placed on the head, the head rotates involuntarily. This phenomenon is called the “Hanger Reflex”, and it was also found at the waist and wrist. This paper focuses on the waist-type hanger reflex and its effect on walking. We found that the waist-type hanger reflex turn the direction of walking to the same direction as the rotation direction of hanger reflex, which can be ...
متن کاملHanger Reflex of the Head and Waist with Translational and Rotational Force Perception
The hanger reflex is a phenomenon in which the head involuntarily rotates when force is applied via a wire hanger placed on the head. The application of pressure to particular points of the head is necessary to induce this phenomenon, which occurs when shear deformation of the skin induces illusory force perception. Because the hanger reflex represents the induction of force and motion using a ...
متن کاملRate of Hanger Reflex Occurrence: Unexpected Head Rotation on Fronto-temporal Head Compression
When the head is encircled with a wire clothes hanger and the unilateral fronto-temporal region is compressed, the head rotates unexpectedly. As the mechanism is unclear, however, we have temporarily named this phenomenon as the "hanger reflex." We previously reported a case wherein this phenomenon was applied to treat cervical dystonia. Because little is known about this phenomenon, we determi...
متن کاملDesign of Intelligent Hanger Based on Single Chip and Pro-E
A new type of intelligent hanger was designed based on single chip and Pro-E software. 3D entity model of actuator and cover curtain mechanism are established by Pro-E. Wings structure of hanger mechanical part was adopted screw rod and motor combination of the lifting mechanism can make the wings outspread and fold, unique cover curtain structure was adopted. Cover curtain rolls up and down th...
متن کاملEnhancement of Perceived Force from the Hanger Reflex on Head and Ankle by Adding Vibration
The "Hanger Reflex" is a phenomenon in which a participant involuntarily rotates their head when a wire hanger is attached it, and has also been observed on the wrist and the ankle. Moreover, the force caused by the Hanger Reflex on the wrist is enhanced by adding a vibration stimulus. These phenomena might be potentially useful for the rehabilitation of movement disorders characterized by abno...
